WomansPlanner.com and the My Life Matters TM planner are here to help women feel empowered and in control of their lives; to realize their dreams and live happy, successful lives. The planner and Website are guides on the journey that help turn dreams and goals into action.

The Owners: Bobette, Cecilia, and Laura

Through Lifestyle Inspirations LLC we publish My Life Matters TM, a planner designed especially for women.

After researching and speaking to many women, we confirmed what we all know in our hearts: women have a need to address a wide range of issues in their lives, some far beyond organization and scheduling.

We found that each woman’s life focus is unique to her; she may want to focus her attention on any of several aspects of life, including (but certainly not limited to) general organization; her physical health (nutritional, fitness, and medical); her mental and emotional well-being; her spiritual well-being; her business or volunteer work; or life dreams and passions.

We also found that, while there are many books and resources that tell you what to do in each area, there is a need for tools to help you with the how of integrating these changes into your daily life and keeping at it long term.

The three of us worked together previously. As 75% ownership of Daysteps LLC, we had spent a great deal of time and energy over two years developing the Daysteps planner; we felt we could not leave those customers with no option for 2011. Plus, we all felt strong, personal desires to continue our business relationships. What better way to do that than to help each of you mean it when you say “my life matters.”

Cecilia George

I’ve been using a daily planner since 1981, when my first child was born, and have had different planners and calendars for many aspects of my life.

I’m from a big family, with many siblings, nieces, and nephews and went on to have 6 children of my own. Not only did I have a separate calendar for just birthdays and family anniversaries, but I also had planners for my daily activities with my children, a financial planner for my finances, a daily journal keeping track of milestones, and so on. Having a planner that had all of this and so much more was something I always needed, not to mention wanted!

Being a part of developing My Life Matters TM was a dream realized for me. I had an integral part of developing the inside of the planner, which I like to call the heart of it. It is what I value in both my planner and in people: what’s inside.

I was able to use my experience with journaling, tracking health & fitness, my spiritual journey, and goal setting in helping to create this planner. With pride I use it daily, and feel balanced with it all together as one.

Bobette Kyle

Bobette KyleIn many ways, my entire life has been preparation for this project. A common thread runs through most of what I have done: planning.

At 18, I became a single mom the Summer after high school. I spent much of the next 4 1/2 years driving back and forth to college (an hour each way), working, and raising my daughter. Needless to say, I learned to be very efficient with my time. Scheduling became crucial to get everything into each day.

I later became a Brand Manager, which is responsibility for everything associated with my brands. I was accountable for new items, existing items, all marketing activities, sales material, promotions, and everything else. Planning and implementation involved working with each department in the company–plus outside agencies–to make sure everything happened when, where, and how it was supposed to.

My experience in planning continued as I climbed the corporate ladder to V.P. of Marketing. After working briefly for a multi-billion dollar company, my impatience with bureaucracy overshadowed my desire for a big paycheck. I quit the corporate scene in 2000.

Happily solo, I wrote a book on marketing planning and Website promotion and developed a companion Website (WebsiteMarketingPlan.com).

Continuing the theme, in 2006 I began publishing the wedding planning Website MyOnlineWeddingHelp.com, which helps those planning a wedding get the most use from Internet wedding resources.

My Life Matters TM is the second planner Laura, Cecilia, and I have worked on together. I feel we have created something special to share with all women who want to improve their lives, regardless of their focus in life.

Laura Thake

Laura ThakeI’m the graphic designer in the group. I’ve been working in St. Louis at small studios since the 1990’s. (Just writing that makes me feel old!) I’ve got a wide range of experience, but this opportunity was unique. I was given the chance to design something that lasts longer than the direct mail piece, or the monthly magazine. This will stay with you for weeks, months, maybe even years.

Creating a page that works, that has the elements where you want them, where you need them, and yet still gives flexibility to make it your own, is a challenging assignment. That’s why I love what I do. I get to work with smart women who know what they want and can articulate that to me, for my interpretation.

This team of women worked on every aspect of this project, from selecting a paper that feels good to write on, doesn’t show through from page to page, to a color selection that’s modern, uplifting and fun. We wanted a cover and binding that would hold up to the ins-and-outs of a briefcase or backpack, as well as a pocket that would hold your papers in place, and not let them slide out if your planner hits the floor. We’re proud of the results, we think we’ve created something unique and special. We look forward to creating more products in this line, together, with focus, quality, and function in mind.
